SNAPSHOT: Brave Blossoms in Rugby World Cup

TOKYO, Oct. 1, Kyodo

After shocking the world with its historic victory over two-time champions South Africa, Japan was beaten by Scotland and will face two more teams -- Samoa and the United States -- in the preliminary round of the Rugby World Cup in England.

The Brave Blossoms are still aiming to make it to the last eight with fullback Ayumu Goromaru currently standing at the top of the tournament in terms of most points scored, with 29, after all 20 teams played their first two games.
