Man held for trying to join Islamic State returns to Japan

-- A Japanese man deported from Turkey for allegedly attempting to join the Islamic State extremist group returns to Japan on March 24, 2016. The 23-year-old man denied he attempted to go to an area controlled by the Islamic State when asked by reporters upon arrival at Kansai International Airport in Osaka Prefecture. According to Japanese police, who have been questioning the man on a voluntary basis, the man has said, "I got fed up with living in Japan."
