Tennis: Nishikori returns to personal-best 4th in world rankings

TOKYO, March 20, Kyodo

Japan's Kei Nishikori improved a notch to fourth in the ATP world rankings for men's singles tennis Monday, returning to his personal-best spot for the first time since last October.

Nishikori, a quarterfinalist in the BNP Paribas Open which ended Sunday in Indian Wells, California, swapped places with Milos Raonic of Canada.

There was no change to the top three: Andy Murray of Britain, Serbia's Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland. Fellow Swiss Roger Federer, who won the BNP Paribas Open, moved up four places to sixth.
